Online course Β· Β± 90 minutes Β· at your own pace
Working with AI is not about magic words.
It is about two skills that few people practise deliberately: seeing the difference between what you asked and what you got β and saying that difference so precisely that it gets fixed in one go.
Three months of access Β· works on computer, tablet and phone Β· your progress is saved
Sound familiar? Then this is the problem: "make it better" can mean anything. An AI assistant cannot guess what you mean β but you can learn to say precisely what has to change. That is not a technical skill. It is a looking-and-language skill. And you can train it.
What you can do after this course
π See the difference
You recognise the six kinds of differences between what you asked and what you got β from a wrong tone to invented content. No more "something is off", but knowing exactly what.
π Point at the spot
With the where-question you work out where it went wrong: was something missing from your instruction, or was your instruction not followed? Not a question of blame β a question of place.
βοΈ Say the difference
You write a difference sentence: what is wrong, where it says so, what should be there. One sentence that an AI assistant β or a colleague β understands in one go.
Works with any AI assistant: Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini or whatever your organisation uses. No technical background needed.
How the course works
Four parts, eight exercises
You practise on recognisable situations from everyday work: an email that turned out too formal, a summary with an invented date, a text that does not sound like your organisation. In part 4 you run the whole cycle yourself with your own AI chat.
An AI looks along with you
In the writing exercises you can ask an AI reviewer for feedback on your difference sentence. No grade, no judgement β one focused pointer you can act on immediately.
The help card is yours to keep
Everything you learn fits on one printable help card: the six names, the where-question, the difference sentence and two fill-in templates for your instructions. You will use it long after the course.
The course takes Β± 90 minutes. No need to do it in one sitting: your progress is saved and you can come back for three months β repeat, review and practise again.
Who is this for?
For everyone who works with an AI assistant and wants the result to be right the first time more often: support staff, policy advisers, healthcare professionals, teachers, communications β and really anyone who has ever thought "this is not quite it" and did not know what to type next.
